On 17 February, three RPL teams held friendly matches, as Khimki and Akhmat played in Turkey, while Zenit were hosted in Iran.
FC Khimki 2-2 FC Kaisar
Spartak Gogniev and his team faced two teams from Kazakhstan. In the match against Kaisar they took the lead twice after goals by Aleksandr Dolgov and Ismail Dibirov, but opponents captured the draw. Three days earlier Kaisar played against Fakel and were beaten 1-2.
FC Khimki 0-3 FC Astana
Second meeting of a day for Khimki was lost to last season Kazakhstan champions. All three goals the Red-Blacks conceded in the second half.
Zenit St. Petersburg 0-2 Sepahan SC
Iran became the destination for Zenit to spend their winter camp, RPL leaders met top team from Persian Gulf Pro League, highest pro division in the country. Sepahan came as winners through two first-half goals.
Akhmat Grozny 0-1 Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk
Teams from RPL and First League played behind the closed doors, and Neftekhimik got the win with Sultan Dzhamilov’s goal. It was third match against top league participants for Nizhnekamsk, as they earlier suffered 0-3 defeat from Sochi and had goalless draw with Torpedo.
