RPL Winter Camps: Orenburg beat Torpedo coming back from 1-3, Sochi get win over Akron

On 21 February, two friendly matches were played in Turkey with participation of three RPL teams.

FC Orenburg 4-3 Torpedo Moscow

RPL teams played match in extended format of three 45-minute periods, and Orenburg capture win despite trailing two goals. Diego Acosta broke the deadlock in five minutes after the kick-off, then Yury Zhuravlev, Ravil Netfullin, and Oleg Kozhemyakin brought two-goal advantage for Torpedo. In the end of second part Vladimir Obukhov cut the lead to one, and in the third period Braian Mansilla equalized with the penalty, before 18-year-old Danil Kapustyansky scored the winner. Young player got three goals at camps with main team.

FC Sochi 3-1 Akron Togliatti

Kurban Berdyev and his team held second match at Turkish camp meeting First League side of Akron, who getting ready to face Torpedo in Russian Cup Regions Path quarter-final. Both sides remained goalless in the first half, and after the break Sochi capture win through Luka Djordjevic’s brace and one more goal from Georgy Melkadze.
