CSKA defeat Krasnodar heavily in Vladimir Ivic first match

First official match of the year for Krasnodar was full of debuts, it’s not only about new head coach Vladimir Ivic, but also about Kady Borges, Moses Cobnan David and Junior Alonso. Nevertheless, CSKA showed dominance, and it started with goal from Moises, first for the club, as he scored the header after corner kick. Next, Jesus Medina found Fedor Chalov’s head, and CSKA top scorer doubled the lead.

In the second half Jorge Carrascal had three attempts to beat Matvey Safonov, but he missed penalty shot hitting the bar, then Krasnodar keeper saved Colombian’s shot from middle of the field and stopped his breakaway. The final word was spoken by Anton Zabolotny, it took 15 minutes to him since coming from the bench to scoring.

Second leg will be played in Krasnodar on Tuesday 28 February. The winner on aggregate will move to RPL Path semi-finals, while eliminated team will join Regions Path quarter-finals.
