Ignatov’s goal and assist helps Spartak win Cup derby again and reach RPL Path semi-finals

Goals: Spartak – Ignatov (15), Zobnin (56), Martins (81), Promes (pen 90+9); Lokomotiv – Miranchuk (17, 83)

If first derby was decided with one goal from Danil Prutsev, second one was multi-goal, but Spartak was leading on aggregate during whole game. Mikhail Ignatov scored the first goal of the match circling the ball to the far corner, but Anton Miranchuk answered quickly finishing from Nair Tiknizyan’s cross. Ignatov showed again, when he won battle against Tiknizyan near the box, and his pass led to Roman Zobnin’s goal. Lead was extended, after Christopher Martins Pereira was the first one on the rebound after Quincy Promes shot on target.

Miranchuk reminded with accurate long shot, but in the last minutes it was Promes’s time. He came to penalty spot twice; first shot was saved by Ilya Lantratov; in the second attempt goalkeeper caught the ball after Panenka, but it was re-taken, as Lantratov crossed the line before shot taken. Finally, Promes scored and sent Spartak to the next stage.

Spartak won 5-2 on aggregate and qualified to RPL Path semi-finals, while Lokomotiv moved to Regions Path quarter-finals second stage, and they will face one of the winners from the first stage.
