Russian Cup play-offs
RPL Path Quarter-finals, 2nd leg
Dynamo Moscow 1-1 Krylia Sovetov Samara
Wednesday 1 March, VTB Arena, Moscow
Goals: Dynamo – Gladyshev (75); Krylia – Pisarsky (pen 29)
Despite losing Sergey Pinyaev and Maksim Glushenkov, who left for Lokomotiv, Krylia are still impressive, as their new signings started to give the results immediately. Argentinian Benjamin Garre suffered a foul in the penalty area, and RPL top scorer Vladimir Sychevoy (Pisarsky) scored from the spot and got fifth goal against Dynamo in all tournaments this season (previous three goals he scored for Orenburg). Nikolay Rasskazov, a winning goal assistant in first leg, made first start with Samara and played just third full game (another two were also in the Cup with Spartak).
Konstantin Tyukavin, only scorer for Dynamo in Samara, replaced Fedor Smolov in the starting line-up, but was goalless today, so Smolov came from the bench in the middle of second half. But another change worked out, as Yaroslav Gladyshev scored a volley from free kick and gave hope for final 15 minutes to make aggregate tied. Even Igor Leschuk joined the team on the corner kick but could not make a shot.
Krylia Sovetov won 3-2 on aggregate and qualified to RPL Path semi-finals, while Dynamo moved to Regions Path quarter-finals second stage, and they will face one of the winners from the first stage.
