Krasnodar beat Rostov on penalties to move forward in Regions Path

Previous Southern Derby editions in Russian Cup ended in favor to Rostov, they beat Krasnodar to win the trophy in 2014 Final and won on aggregate in 2018/19 quarter-finals (2-2, 1-0). But guests allowed to make the first step, when Sergey Pesyakov pass was intercepted by Eduard Spertsyan, and he turned this moment into a goal. Rostov pressure gave the result in the second half, nice combination with no touch pass from Khoren Bayramyan led to equalizer from Roman Tugarev. Both sides went to the shootout, and the only missed shot from Danila Prokhin cost Rostov further participation in the tournament.

Krasnodar joined Akron as Regions Path semi-finals winners, and they will host Spartak or Krylia Sovetov in the next stage.
