Man of the Match: Aleksandr Sobolev (Spartak)
Aleksandr Sobolev had been failing to score in RPL since October, but his streak ended in the beginning of derby, when he smashed the ball under the bar. The Red-Whites had been feeling comfortable, but then missed counter-attack, and despite Daniil Denisov threw the ball from goal line, Arsen Zakharyan scored from the rebound. Keita Balde added first RPL goal to previous goal in Russian Cup, and Dynamo were on time to score another equalizer, the ball from corner kick was redirected to the goal by Sobolev’s leg.
It was not the only unlucky moment for Aleksandr Selikhov this night, when Denis Makarov pushed the ball from right wing, goalkeeper and Tomas Tavares could not decide, whom to play it, so the guests got their first lead. Spartak escaped through penalty, former Dynamo Roman Zobnin was held in the penalty area, and Sobolev made the brace.
Spartak go third on 42 points, while Dynamo are sixth with 36 points.
