The only team, who did not drop any point in spring, took an exam against RPL leaders. Lokomotiv took the lead through pressure in the penalty area, Maksim Glushenkov stole Wendel to score his second with the Railwaymen. Wendel himself made the game tied scoring to the far post from the assist by Malcom. Ivan Sergeev, scored a brace against Ural last matchday, was not so successful this time and left the pitch for Mateo Cassierra, and the Colombian finally ended his scoreless series sending the ball from scissors shot, little redirected by Egor Pogostnov. Zenit put to the end Lokomotiv winning streak and won at RZD Arena first time since May 2017.

Zenit still top with 54 points, Lokomotiv stay eleventh on 25 points.
