On Wednesday 19 April, two matches took place in second stage of Regions Path semi-finals in Russian Cup.
Akron Togliatti, only side from First League, eliminated last season Cup winners Spartak Moscow with 2-1 win. Keita Balde could not beat Sergey Volkov from penalty, then Andres Ponce and Nikita Saltykov gave 2-0 lead to Akron before half-time, and the Red-Whites only cut the gap with Tomas Tavares shot in the end of second half.
FC Krasnodar host Krylia Sovetov Samara and won on penalties. The Bulls had two-goal advantage after goals from Eduard Spertsyan and Jhon Cordoba, they also got advantage in players, after Amar Rahmanovic was sent off with second yellow card. Krylia made huge comeback in the added time to second half through Dmitry Tsypchenko and Ilya Gaponov goals to send the game to the penalty shootout. Eduard Spertsyan, Mihajlo Banjac and Ilzat Akhmetov score all three attempts for Krasnodar, while Glenn Bijl could not beat Matvey Safonov, Vladimir Sychevoy (Pisarsky) and Yury Gorshkov sent the ball high.
According to the result of draw procedure, Krasnodar will host Akron at Krasnodar Stadium in the first stage of Regions Path finals. Fixture will be played between 2 & 4 May.
