Three former Spartak players entered the starting line-up for Khimki, and one of them made the result in the first half. Reziuan Mirzov scored the free kick to Aleksandr Selikhov net, it was second time he upset the Red-Whites as Khimki player. Before half-time Spartak was cut to ten men, as Daniil Denisov tackle against Janio Bikel was classified as yellow card, second for defender. Nevertheless, Spartak know well, who to deal being shorthanded; another former Red-White Anton Mitryushkin made two nice saves in one attack, but he was helpless against Aleksandr Sobolev. Last week shorthanded Spartak slipped the point against Zenit, in Khimki they kept it, but it did not help a lot in battle for medals.
Spartak remain fourth on 50 points, while Khimki are 15th with 18 points.
