Zenit awarded with RPL champions trophy

Zenit St. Petersburg received gold medals and RPL champions trophy after match against Krasnodar in RP Matchday 27, ended in 2-2 draw.

RPL president Aleksandr Alayev and RFU president Aleksandr Dyukov were the special guests of the award ceremony. The champions’ cup was raised by Zenit captain Douglas Santos.

Zenit guaranteed first place after 3-2 win against Spartak in Matchday 26. Sergey Semak team won fifth league title in a row and tenth overall; club was USSR champion one time and won RPL nine times.
