Krasnodar vs CSKA in Russian Cup Super Final

RPL teams FC Krasnodar and CSKA Moscow will face each other in main final of 2022/23 Russia Cup edition.

The draw procedure, took place at MATCH PREMIER studio on 17 May, determined Krasnodar as host team of the Super Final. The match will take place on Sunday 11 June at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

This will be third time, when Krasnodar and CSKA meet in this Russian Cup season. In RPL Path quarter-finals the Armymen beat the Bulls 3-1 (3-0, 0-1) on aggregate. During RPL season CSKA defeated Krasnodar 4-1 at VEB Arena, and the second fixture will be played on 27 May in Krasnodar.

CSKA, seven-time Cup winners, will participate in twelfth final, most in tournament history. The Armymen played last final in 2015/16 season, while the last trophy was captured in 2012/13 season. CSKA went through the RPL Path to reach Super Final. They were second in Group D after facing Torpedo, Ural and Sochi, then eliminated Krasnodar, Krylia Sovetov and Ural in the top bracket play-off.

Krasnodar reached final second time in the history, in 2013/14 season the Bulls lost to Rostov in the penalty shootout. Team started Cup path under Aleksandr Storozhuk, in winter he was replaced with Vladimir Ivic. Krasnodar finished top in RPL Path Group A after facing Khimki, Lokomotiv and Pari NN, but lost to CSKA in quarter-finals. Since moving to Regions Path play-off the team beat Akhmat, Rostov, Krylia Sovetov, Akron and Ural.
