Two RPL medalists of 2022/23 season were determined following Matchday 30 fixtures, where CSKA Moscow, Spartak and Rostov played.
Zenit became RPL champions after defeating Spartak in Matchday 26. It’s fifth title in a row for Sergey Semak and his team, now the club from St. Petersburg is ten-time top division champion counting all titles in USSR and Russia.
CSKA Moscow kept second and won silver medals beating Rostov 4-1 at home in Matchday 30. These are first Armymen medals in the league since 2017/18 season, they also win silver there. In all RPL history (since 2002) CSKA finished second eight times.
Spartak got bronze medals despite being beaten by Krylia Sovetov 0-1 in Samara. The Red-Whites made top 3 second time in last three seasons; in 2020/21 they got silver medals. Spartak won bronze two times before, in 2002 and 2017/18 season.
