Aleksandr Alaev on procedure of agreeing RPL schedule for 2023/24 season

RPL president has commented situation with RPL schedule for upcoming season.

“There are no conflicts, we have found compromise, and we thank colleagues for it. In the last season edition of Regulations there was a note, that RFU Executive Committee agrees the schedule. There was structure of schedule, which was agreed by RFU, while RPL determined fixtures plan.

“Now RFU suggested, that RPL General Meeting and RFU Executive Committee both should agree the pairwise schedule.

“We have found compromise, that RPL prepare the schedule, and RFU president reviews it operantly. This is more flexible system.

“We want to get finished schedule tomorrow or day after tomorrow maximum. I suppose, we need it a month before the season kicks off”, said Aleksandr Alaev.
