Dynamo Moscow forward Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu did not play in the first Cameroon match at 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Indomitable Lions earned 1-1 draw in the match against Guinea. Ngamaleu spent full match on the bench. Guinea took the lead on tenth minute through Mohamed Bayo, but before half-time former Lokomotiv forward Francois Kamano was sent off, as VAR changed yellow card into red. Cameroon equalized through Frank Magri six minutes after second half started.
Both teams go behind Senegal in the group C; the Lions of Teranga started with 3-0 win over Gambia. Cameroon and Senegal will meet in the next round of group stage on 19 January.

Burkina Faso will enter Africa Cup of Nations, this will be second tournament for Akhmat forward Mohamed Konate, who was born in Cote d’Ivoire. The Stallions will kick off facing Mauritania.
