DR Congo & Bongonda earn second draw at Africa Cup of Nations

Spartak midfielder Theo Bongonda made appearance for DR Congo national team in group stage match against Morocco at Africa Cup of Nations in Cote-d’Ivoire.

Match ended in 1-1 draw, and Bongonda, included into starting 11, spent 52 minutes on the pitch before being replaced. The Moroccans captured the lead after Achraf Hakimi scored on sixth minute, but the Leopards tied through Silas Katompa Mvumpa equalizer on 76th minute.

DR Congo go second in the group F with two points for two draws, later another fixture will be played in the group between Zambia and Tanzania. On 24 January, the Leopards will face Tanzania in the final round of group stage.

Whom to follow on 22 January

At Africa Cup of Nations third group stage round will be kicked off by groups A & B. In group A Guinea-Bissau alongside Pari NN striker Ze Turbo will finish their participation meeting Nigeria; the Guineans lost chances to qualify for the Round of 16. In Group B leaders from Cape Verde, who has Krasnodar midfielder Kevin Lenini in the roster, will play against Egypt, coached by former Spartak Moscow manager Rui Vitoria.
