Brazil, Khellven & Fasson miss Olympic Games spot

Two RPL players appeared for Brazil U-23 in the third match of the CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament final stage against Argentina.

Both CSKA defender Khellven and Lokomotiv defender Lucas Fasson spent 90 minutes on the pitch, but the Brazilians lost 0-1. Khellven took part in each of seven matches, while Fasson made five appearances.

Brazil finished third with three points in the final group, so the team did not qualify to 2024 Olympics in Paris and won’t be able to defend the title, as they are the champions of two previous tournaments in Rio and Tokyo. South America will be represented at Olympic football competition by Paraguay and Argentina.
