On 10 June, a draw procedure took place to determine the groups of RPL Path in 2024/25 Russian Cup.
Like in previous two seasons, 16 RPL teams were divided into four groups. The pots for draw procedure were formed by final standings of RPL 2023/24 season with three relegated sides – Ural, Baltika, Sochi – being replaced by three promoted teams (Khimki, Dynamo Makhchkala, Akron). Each team will play six matches at the group stage.
Group A: Dynamo Moscow, Spartak Moscow, Krylia Sovetov Samara, Dynamo Makhachkala
Group B: Lokomotiv Moscow, FC Rostov, FC Orenburg, FC Khimki
Group C: FC Krasnodar, CSKA Moscow, Akhmat Grozny, FC Pari Nizhny Novgorod
Group D: Zenit St. Petersburg, Rubin Kazan, Fakel Voronezh, Akron Togliatti

If regular time end in draw, the winner will be decided in the penalty shootout. Team will get three points on regular time win, two on winning with penalties, one on being beaten by penalties.
Top two teams of each group will qualify to RPL Path playoffs, while third-ranked teams will move to Regions Path playoffs, and the bottom teams will be eliminated.
Since reforming the Russian Cup into two-path structure, CSKA and Zenit became trophy winners.
