Zenit St. Petersburg have announced the departure of defender Branislav Ivanovic after his contract expired.
The Serbian joined the Blue-White-Sky Blues in February 2017 after moving from Chelsea, and has been the team's captain since 2018. At Zenit, Ivanovic became a two-time RPL champion and Russian Cup winner. In the RPL, he played 90 games for them and scored eight goals, as well as representing Lokomotiv Moscow from 2006 to 2007.
Earlier, defender Igor Smolnikov and midfielder Oleg Shatov left the St. Petersburg club, with both of their contracts also expiring after the end of the 2019/20 season.
