Khimki appointed Igor Cherevchenko as new head coach

FC Khimki signed with Igor Cherevchenko, who took the role of the first team head coach.

Earlier Moscow Region team parted ways with Dmitry Gunko, who worked with Red-Blacks since the beginning of August. Under him Khimki earned three points in eight matches with getting the only victory in the Russian Cup elite group stage.

Igor Cherevchenko made his RPL debut as a coach on September 2014 in Lokomotiv. Since the May 2015 till the August 2016 he was the Railwaymen manager. After one and half season with Baltika on November 2018 the specialist was appointed as Arsenal manager, and he lead the team to the highest result in the club's history - 6th place in RPL in 2018/19 season. Cherevchenko parted ways with Tula on 1 July 2020.
