Aleksey Ionov's transfer from FC Rostov to FC Krasnodar has been agreed between the clubs. The 31-year-old midfielder signed with the Bulls three-year contract till the 31 May 2023.

Ionov had been playing for Rostov since August 2017. He participated in 80 RPL matches with the Yellow-Blues and scored 16 goals. Since the summer the midfileder was the team's captain.

Krasnodar became the seventh RPL side in the player's career. He started as pro in 2007 with native club Zenit and became there RPL champion and UEFA Cup winner. After leaving St. Petersburg he played for Kuban Krasnodar, Anzhi Makhachkala, Dynamo Moscow and CSKA Moscow before joining Rostov.
