Dmitry Barinov resumes training after lengthy injury

print version

Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Dmitry Barinov spent his first training session at the team’s training camp in Marbella after four and a half months out with a cruciate ligament injury. It was very touching and emotional.

“I was waiting for this even more than I do for my birthday!” he told the official club website. “I had even forgotten how to put on my boots. In a month's time, the championship will be back for everyone!”

Barinov played four matches and scored one goal before his injury this season, but missed the entire Champions League group stages. In total he has played over 100 matches for the senior team.
