The former Monaco, Barcelona, Manchester City and Olympiacos player Yaya Toure has joined the coaching staff of Akhmat. His duties will later be determined by the head coach of Grozny Andrey Talalaev.
The Ivorian's last club was Qingdao Hainyu, who played in the Chinese Second Division. Since February 2021, Toure has worked as an assistant coach at Olimpik Donetsk.
During his career as a football player, Toure was crowned champion of Greece, Spain and England, won the Cup and Super Cup of Spain and England, as well as winning the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
As a member of the Ivory Coast national team, he won the African Cup of Nations. Toure was also recognized as the best African player four times.
