Rui Vitoria leaves Spartak by mutual consent

print version

Spartak Moscow head coach Rui Vitoria has left the club by mutual consent. His assistants Arnaldo Teixeira, Sergio Botelho, Luis Esteves and Walter Dias will also leave the club.

The Portuguese manager led Spartak to the Europa League playoffs after topping a group with Leicester City, Napoli and Legia Warsaw. At the same time, the Red-Whites struggled in the league under Vitoria’s tenure, struggling to ninth place after just six wins from 18 matches this season.

No replacement has officially been confirmed yet.
