Spartak Moscow have appointed Paolo Vanoli as full-time successor to Rui Vitoria as head coach. The Italian has signed an 18-month contract, with an option to extend by a further year.
This is Vanoli’s first ever head coach role of a senior side after assisting and managing Italy national age group teams from under-17 to under-19 levels. He became part of Gian Pietro Ventura’ backroom staff for the full Italian national team in 2016, before working under Antonio Conte first at Chelsea and then at Inter Milan.
