CSKA sign Paraguayan winger Jesus Medina

CSKA Moscow have confirmed the signing of New York City’s Jesus Medina.

The 24-year-old Paraguayan winger has agreed a three-and-a-half year contract with the Armymen, and has already joined his teammates on the winter training camp in Campoamor in Spain.

Medina made his professional debut as a 15-year-old in his native Paraguay, where he broke through with Libertad in domestic and Copa Libertadores fixtures. He arrives in Russia fresh from lifting the MLS Cup with New York City FC after four years stateside, during which time he has scored 26 goals in 113 appearances in all competitions.
