Champions Zenit St. Petersburg have completed the signing of Ural Ekaterinburg defender Arsen Adamov. The Russian defender has signed a four-and-a-half year contract.

Adamov started playing football in Kislovodsk before joining Akhmat Grozny’s academy system, making his debut in the youth championship in 2016 and playing 128 matches in four years for the youth teams.

He made his senior debut for Akhmat on 22 July 2020 against Krasnodar, but only played six matches before joining Ural on 15 January 2021. He played 28 matches for the Ekaterinburg club, scoring one goal and making one assist.

Last October, he received his first call-up to the Russian national team to prepare for matches with Slovakia and Slovenia. Although he didn’t make his full debut, he has represented his country at youth level.
