FC Orenburg made a statement on activating one-year extension with head coach Marcel Licka.

45-year-old Czech took the duties in Orenburg in August 2020. The team made FNL top 3 in two straight seasons – taking second place in 2020/21 season and third place in 2021/22 season – and in 2022 it earned promotion to RPL through relegation play-off matches against Ufa (2-2, 2-1).

After 19 matches in 2022/23 RPL season Orenburg go eighth with 28 points. Next match Licka and his team will play against Spartak at home on Saturday 18 March.
