Torpedo Moscow presented 45-year-old Josep Clotet as new head coach of the club.
Born in 1977, Clotet never played at pro level, and in 2001 he started coaching career. Started in Spain Clotet then moved for work to Sweden, Norway, Great Britain, and Italy.
As head coach the Spaniard worked with Cornella, Figueres, Espanyol B, Malaga B, Oxford United, Birmingham City, Brescia (three times) and SPAL. Brescia from Italian Serie B was the last club for Clotet, where he had been working since July 2022 till February 2023 with break between 21 December & 16 January.
Clotet became fourth head coach for Torpedo during this season. The Black-Whites started the season with Aleksandr Borodyuk, then the duties was taken by Nikolay Savichev and Andrey Talalaev. Torpedo go bottom of RPL with ten points after 20 matches, they will play next fixture against Rostov on Sunday 2 April at Rostov Arena.
