FC Khimki officially hired Andrey Talalaev as new head coach and signed him on five-year deal.
50-year-old coach came to the club from Moscow Region second time in his career. He had been working during 2019, when the team played in FNL. In 36 official matches under Talalaev Khimki collected 23 wins, 6 defeats and 7 draws.
This season Talalaev had worked with two RPL teams. In September he left Akhmat after two years of work, from October to March coach took the duties in Torpedo Moscow. Totally Talalaev has 93 matches as head coach in RPL getting 31 wins, 17 draws and 45 defeats.
Khimki kicked this season off with Sergey Yuran, who joined the club in February 2022. In August he was replaced by Nikolay Pisarev, and in September his duties were taken by Spartak Gogniev. On 3 April, Khimki and Gogniev parted ways, so in the latest RPL fixture against CSKA Moscow the Red-Blacks were managed by caretaker coach Rinat Bilyaletdinov.
Khimki are 15th after 22 matches with 13 points, in the next fixture they will visit Krylia Sovetov on Saturday 15 April.
