Akhmat Grozny officially signed new head coach Miroslav Romaschenko on three-year contract.
New manager will be joined in the coaching staff by Andrey Sosnitsky, Robert Evdokimov, Aleksandr Goncharov, and Vadim Arkhidyakonskykh. Romaschenko previously had been worked in Grozny since 2011 to 2013 as an assistant to Stanislav Cherchesov.
Romaschenko is two-time Russian champion as Spartak player. As head coach he worked with Spartak reserve team, Tom Tomsk, and Salyut Belgorod. As Tom head coach, Romaschenko got three wins, one draw, and five defeats in nine RPL matches.
In 2011 Romaschenko joined Stanislav Cherchesov in Zhemchuzhina Sochi, then they worked together in Terek Grozny, Amkar Perm, Legia Warsaw, Russia national team, and Ferencvarosi. Their staff led Legia to winning Polish Ekstraklasa and national Cup, they also won Hungarian League twice and national Cup. As Russia national team assistant coach, Romaschenko participated in FIFA Confederations Cup, 2018 World Cup, and EURO 2020.
Previous head coach Sergey Tashuev left Akhmat on 15 August, next day after being defeated by Pari NN in RPL. Team started preparations to match against Orenburg, planned on Sunday 20 August, under Isa Baytiev, U-21 team head coach. After four matches Akhmat go eleventh with three points.
