On 14 September, the final day of RPL summer registration period, Rubin Kazan announced signing five new players.
20-year-old defender Uros Drezgic sign four-year contract. Since 2018 he had been playing for Cukaricki in Serbia, made 67 appearances, and scored three goals. In 2021 Drezgic made debut for Serbia U-21 national team.
27-year-old midfielder Valentin Vada joined Rubin as free agent on two-year contract. The Argentian began pro career in 2015 with Bordeaux, as he joined club Academy at the age of 14. The first half of 2019 Vada spent with Saint Etienne, then he moved to Spain to play for Almeria, Tenerife, and Real Zaragoza. Curiously, that Vada played first pro match in December 2015, when Bordeaux met Rubin in Europa League group stage, and earned an assist.
29-year-old goalkeeper Egor Shamov was signed by Rubin for the rest of 2023/24 season. Last five years Shamov spent in Arsenal Tula, and 30 of 48 official matches for Cannoneers goaltender played in RPL.
24-year-old midfielder Nikola Cumic became Rubin player signing four-year contract. Cumic represented four clubs in Serbia, these were Sloboda, Metalac, Radnicki, Vojvodina. Abroad the Serbian played for Olympiacos in Greece, Sporting Gijon in Spain, and Luzern in Switzerland.
26-year-old forward Lazar Randjelovic came back to RPL joining Rubin for the rest of the current season. In 2022/23 RPL campaign player was loaned by Ural from Olympiacos, and he scored three goals in 18 games.
