Kazakhstan Football Federation released a statement on departure of head coach Magomed Adiev from the national team.
“Head coach Magomed Adiev quit his job and motivated his decision with family reasons. KFF was ready to this situation, the new manager will be chosen next week”, the federation noted.
Adiev was appointed as national team head coach in April 2022. He led Kazakhstan to winning League C group of UEFA Nations League, reached best result in European/World Championship qualifiers (18 points in EURO 2024 qualification) and entered EURO qualifying playoffs, where Kazakhstan lost to Greece in League C semifinal.
In April 2024 Adiev came back to native Akhmat as head coach and combined jobs in club and national team for the rest of 2023/24 season. Grozny team earned 15 points in nine matches and finished tenth in RPL.
