FC Khimki, promoted back to RPL, officially presented two new players.
34-year-old midfielder Artur Yusupov joined Khimki on one-year contract, and that’s his second coming, as he played for the Red-Blacks in 2010 on loan from Dynamo Moscow. Player came from FC Sochi as free agent; he spent four years with Southern club and earned RPL silver medal in 2021/22 season.
33-year-old striker Anton Zabolotny signed three-year deal with Khimki after he left CSKA through contract expiration. Forward played for the Armymen, his native club, three seasons getting RPL silver medal and winning Russian Cup both in 2022/23 season.
Yusupov and Zabolotny had been playing together for Sochi during 2020/21 season and led the team to top five finish and first ever qualification to Europa Conference League.
This summer Khimki also completed signing defender Orinho from Rodina Moscow and forward Ilya Porokhov from FC Tyumen, bought out midfielder Ilya Berkovsky from Lokomotiv.
