Anton Miranchuk leaves Lokomotiv as free agent

Lokomotiv Moscow announced midfielder Anton Miranchuk leaving through the expiration of his contract.

28-year-old club’s Academy graduate made first team debut in 2013, he was out of the team in 2016 due to loan to Levadia in Estonia. Miranchuk is RPL champion, winner of three Russian Cups and Super Cup. In all competitions midfielder played 217 matches for Lokomotiv scoring 51 goals; his RPL stats are 37 goals in 163 matches.

Miranchuk joined the group of released players; previously Lokomotiv parted ways with Tin Jedvaj, Ilya Berkovsky, Artem Dzyuba, Rifat Zhemaletdinov, Stanislav Magkeev, Maksim Glushenkov and Daniil Khudyakov. Club also loaned Mikail Schetinin and Nikolay Titkov to Fakel and Baltika respectively.
