Spartak agree Ezequiel Barco transfer from River Plate

Spartak Moscow officially reached agreement on transfer of River Plate midfielder Ezequiel Barco.

25-year-old Argentinian will join the Moscow club on three-year contract. Barco played for three clubs during pro career starting in Independiente in 2016, then moving to Atlanta United in 2018 and joining River Plate in 2022 (spent first year on loan, was bought out in 2023). Midfielder won Copa Sudamericana with Independiente, MLS Cup and US Open Cup with Atlanta, Argentinian Primera Division with River Plate. Barco represented Argentina at FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2019 and Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021.
