Zenit extend Wendel and Claudinho contracts

Zenit St. Petersburg officially re-signed Brazilian players Wendel and Claudinho.

Both deals set to expire at the end of 2027/28 season and have one-year extension option.

Wendel moved to Zenit from Sporting Lisbon in October 2020. 26-year-old Brazilian won four RPL titles, one Russian Cup and three Super Cups, scored 16 goals in 96 league matches.

Claudinho was signed from Red Bull Bragantino in August 2021. 27-year-old Brazilian is three-time RPL champion and Super Cup winner, also Russian Cup winner. Overall Claudinho has 81 RPL appearances and 17 goals, he was honored as 2021/22 season league MVP. In February 2023 the player was given the Russian Federation citizenship.
