Akhmat Grozny announced hiring Sergey Tashuev as new head coach.
Club signed 65-year-old coach for two years. Previously Tashuev was a team head coach for almost a year being hired in September 2022 and departing in August 2023. Under him Akhmat finished fifth at the end of 2022/23 RPL season, which is the highest position in the top division for the club.
Excepting Akhmat Tashuev worked as head coach for other RPL teams like Spartak Nalchik, Kuban Krasnodar and Fakel Voronezh. Fakel was the latest appointment for the coach, he had been working in Voronezh during the 2023/24 season.
On 1 September, Akhmat parted ways with Magomed Adiev, who was hired by the club in April. Team started this season with five draws and two defeats in seven RPL matches and placed 15th in the standings. Akhmat will hold first match after the international break on 15 September against Dynamo Moscow at VTB Arena.
