Orenburg announce Vladimir Sliskovic appointment

FC Orenburg made a statement on appointing Vladimir Sliskovic as new head coach.

41-year-old coach from Bosnia & Herzegovina will resume his Russian career. Sliskovic spent 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons in Spartak Moscow coaching staff; he started as Guillermo Abascal assistant, then acted as head coach in April and May 2024 winning Manager of the Month award in April. Sliskovic left the club after the season, despite he was included in Dejan Stankovic staff.

Previously Orenburg parted ways with David Deogracia, who started job as head coach on 22 August 2023 and resigned on 3 October 2024. In the last match, where the team lost to Zenit, the head coach position was taken by assistant Ilshat Aytkulov.

After 11 matches Orenburg go 15th in RPL standings having seven points. After the international break team will face Krylia Sovetov at home Gazovik stadium on 20 October.
