In a game of the 13th tour of the SOGAZ Russian Football Championship FC Volga hosted FC Rubin in Nizhny Novgorod and won with a score of 2:1.

Artem Danilenko debuting for the club from Nizhny Novgorod scored a goal in the 11^th minute. The guests had a chance to equalize the score but Bibras Natkho shot a penalty past the gates. In the 49^th minute Shota Bibilov doubled the score. Kazan players replied with just one goal scored by Aleksander Prudnikov at the end of the game.
