Four ties of 1/8 final participants were determined at 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.  National team of Costa-Rica for which FC Kuban player Marcos Ureña  is playing qualified into this stage. In the match against England, which ended in a draw 0:0, Ureña was fielded after substitution and spent 25 minutes on the pitch. Costa-Rica was the first in the group with Uruguay, Italy and England  behind it.

For now four ties of 1/8 final participants have been  determined: Brazil – Chile, Netherlands – Mexico, Columbia – Uruguay and Costa-Rica – Greece.
