National Team of Russia was not able to qualify to the  1/8 final of 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. In the third match in the group the team of Fabio Capello played in a draw with the team of Algeria - 1:1. As a result the Russian team was the third in their group with Belgium and Algeria ahead of it.

On the results of this match the two remaining ties of 1/8 final were defined. Germany will play Algeria, Belgium will play the USA.
