On Tuesday,  28 June 2016, TEFI-2016 Award jury announced Vladimir Stognienko the best in Sports Programme Presenter\Sports Commentator nomination. Stognienko received the award for his work at the ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Football Championship match PFC CSKA – Spartak, shown on MatchTV, as the official website of the award informs.

Vladimir had Dmitry Guberniev (biathlon, sprint, Canada (Match TV); opening of World Aquatics Championship in Kazan (Russia-1)) as his competitor for this award.
