An opening ceremony and the opening match of FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 took place in St.Petersburg, where Russia played against New Zealand. The game ended with win of our team 2:0.

The active attack of Glushakov in the 31^st minute was held neither by the goalkeeper nor by New Zealand defenders, the foot of one of them – Boxall rebounded the ball into own goalnet. The winning goal was scored by the best scorer of ROSGOSSTRAKH Russian Football Championship 2016-2017 Fedor Smolov in the 69^th minute.
