Rubin Kazan announced on Tuesday that Aalborg midfielder Oliver Abildgaard has joined the club on loan until the end of the season. According to the club’s official statement, they have a right to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Abildgaard has been at Aalborg his whole career, scoring four goals in 91 appearances for the club. The 23-year-old scored twice in 12 caps for Denmark’s under-21 side.

With Dmitri Tarasov still on trial with the club at their training camp in Turkey, Abildgaard will also compete with Pavel Mogilivets, Igor Konovalov and Evgeniy Bashkirov for a place in Slutskiy’s midfield.
