Aleksey Miranchuk last-gasp strike cancels out Radonjic opener

print version

Lokomotiv Moscow 1-1 Krylia Sovetov Samara
Tuesday 30 June, RZD Arena

Goals: Lokomotiv - Al. Miranchuk (90+5’); Krylia - Radonjic (15’)

Man of the Match: Maksim Glushenkov

Sent off: Lokomotiv - Vladislav Ignatyev (51’); Krylia - Safaa Hadi (73’)

Aleksey Miranchuk stole a point at the death to cancel out Dejan Radonjic’s well-taken first-half strike from Maksim Glushenkov’s brilliant assist to lift Krylia Sovetov off the foot of the table. Both sides finished with 10 men as Vladislav Ignatyev and Safaa Hadi were sent off after half time, the latter having only come on 15 minutes before being shown his red card.

A long ball out to the right flank saw Maksim Glushenkov bring the ball under control with little apparent danger. The on-loan Spartak forward somehow picked out Dejan Radonjic on the far side, and the Croatian striker cut inside before threading a finish through Guilherme’s legs.

Either side of the break Rifat Zhemaletdinov and Glushenkov both missed golden opportunities. Ignatyev was dismissed five minutes into the second half for a second yellow card, only for balance to be restored 20 minutes later when Safaa Hadi was also given his marching orders.

Lokomotiv dominated the pressure and possession for the last half an hour, and eventually it told with seconds remaining. Aleksey Miranchuk was once again the saviour for Marko Nikolic as he beat Evgeniy Frolov to a Joao Mario cross to head in his fourth goal in three games.

Lokomotiv Moscow host FC Sochi next on Saturday 4 July, while Krylia Sovetov Samara play FC Rostov at home on the same day.

Lokomotiv Moscow: Guilherme (Kochenkov 33’), Ignatyev, Kverkvelia (Zhivoglyadov 69’), Corluka, Idowu, Barinov, Krychowiak, Zhemaletdinov (An. Miranchuk 57’), Al. Miranchuk, Joao Mario, Eder

Krylia Sovetov Samara: Frolov, Zeffane (Chicherin 40’), Burlak (Hadi 57’), Lystsov, Poluyakhtov, Timofeev, Gatcan, Kabutov, Popovic (Anton 46’), Radonjic (Zinkovskiy 46’), Glushenkov (Terekhov 90+3’)
