Konstantin Kuchaev scored the first goal of the new Russian Premier Liga season after volleying a deflected Ivan Oblyakov shot from eight yards out. On the stroke of half-time he fed Alan Dzagoev to finish into the far corner. Star signing Adolfo Gaich came off the bench for his debut and hit the crossbar in added time. 

FC Khimki take on FC Sochi away next on Saturday 14 August, while CSKA Moscow host FC Tambov  on Sunday 15 August.
