The Russian national team coaching staff have announced their squad to prepare for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Serbia and Hungary.
Goalkeepers: Marinato Guilherme (Lokomotiv Moscow), Soslan Dzhanaev (FC Sochi), Anton Shunin (Dynamo Moscow).
Defenders: Georgy Dzhikia (Spartak Moscow), Vyacheslav Karavaev (Zenit St. Petersburg), Fedor Kudryashov (Antalyaspor), Roman Neustadter (unattached), Sergey Petrov, Egor Sorokin (both FC Krasnodar), Andrey Semenov (Akhmat Grozny), Mario Fernandes (CSKA Moscow).
Midfielders: Zelimkhan Bakaev, Roman Zobnin (both Spartak), Yury Gazinsky (Krasnodar), Alexander Golovin (Monaco), Rifat Zhemaletdinov, Anton Miranchuk (both Lokomotiv), Yury Zhirkov, Andrey Mostovoy, Magomed Ozdoev (all Zenit), Alexey Ionov (FC Rostov), Daler Kuzyaev (unattached).
Forwards: Artem Dzyuba (Zenit), Nikolay Komlichenko (Dynamo), Evgeny Lutsenko (Arsenal Tula), Fedor Smolov (Lokomotiv).
The match against Serbia will take place on 3 September in Moscow at the VTB Arena and will start at 21:45 MSK. The fixture against Hungary will take place on 6 September in Budapest at the Ferenc Puskas Arena and will start at 19:00 MSK. The games will be held without spectators.
In the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League, Russia will play in League B, Group 3 alongside Serbia, Hungary and Turkey. At the end of the round robin stage, the winners of the four groups will be promoted to League A, and the last-placed teams will be relegated to League C.
