Konstantin Kuchaev scored his fourth goal of the season to give CSKA the lead early on with a close-range tap-in. Right at the end of normal time Kristijan Bistrovic curled home a well-worked free kick routine before Nikola Vlasic’s thundering shot in added time sealed the win.

Baktiyar Zaynutdinov, Bruno Fuchs and Chidera Ejuke came off the bench for their debuts in the second half. Both sides are now on 10 points, although CSKA jump ahead of Akhmat in the table on head-to-head record.

Akhmat Grozny host FC Sochi next after the international break, while CSKA have a Moscow derby at home to Spartak.
