Andrey Panyukov stole a point for Ural Ekaterinburg against his former club Zenit St. Petersburg as the champions dropped points for the third time in four Russian Premier Liga matches. Artem Dzyuba had given Zenit an early lead by converting Andrey Mostovoy’s cross before Panyukov’s second-half finish.

Ural move up one spot to 10th place on 10 points, while Zenit double their lead at the top of the table on 17 points. Ural travel to take on Akhmat Grozny next on Sunday 27 September, whereas Zenit host FC Ufa the day before.
